A floating nesting platform
To secure the breeding of terns in the Val d'Allier, the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux d'Auvergne Rhône-Alpes has built a floating island using SunnyDock cubes. The structure, which is anchored in the Loire, is loaded with gravel so that the birds can build their nests on it, while a fence around the perimeter protects them from predators.
