This year, the Westphalian sailing club in Haltern am See has started its season with 2 new pontoons.
The project, which was initiated in June 2022 by the club's management, went through several phases: a site visit with Dock Marine at Lake Lohheide, with the harbourmaster of the yachting association, who is already the proud owner of 5 impressive Dock Marine pontoons.
This was followed by exchanges to work out different versions, visits to the site and finally an agreement was reached on 2 grey pontoons 51m long and 32 boxes, giving a total of 64 berths.
The main pontoon is 1.50m wide and the catways are 1.00m wide. Our modular system means that the width of the boxes can be adapted to suit requirements, so the shape of the pontoon is never definitive.
The unloading of the containers and the assembly were carried out by the members of the club, a real team building session. Of course, a Dock Marine technician was also on hand to offer advice.
As a result, by the start of the season, the new pontoon was ready, maintenance-free and solid, blending discreetly into its surroundings.
