A wooden pontoon on Moutchic Beach in Lacanau
A new wooden pontoon has been installed in Lacanau on Moutchic Beach. It will be used by patrons to board and disembark from the many boats that frequent the lake.
Located east of Lacanau (Gironde), Lake Lacanau is one of the great lakes of the Landes. Covering 2,000 hectares and with a maximum depth of 8 metres, it is home to flora and fauna that make it one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The edges of the lake are lined with a number of beaches and little bays suitable for anchoring. It is at the lake's northern end, on Moutchic Beach, that a new wooden pontoon has been installed.
This new pontoon will be used by patrons to board and disembark from boats. Many tours and excursions are organised on the lake. Catamarans, fishing smacks and barges invite you to explore the lake, its unique setting and history.
This T-shaped pontoon measuring over 30 m in length was installed by one of our teams. It is made up of a galvanised steel structure anchored to the lakebed by piles, as well as a Northern pine deck. The main advantage of this product is that it can be completely disassembled if need be, and can be fitted to nearly any bed type. Robust yet aesthetic, our wooden pontoon has an extremely limited impact on the surrounding ecosystem.
